What is Station IX?

Station IX was designed and built by Imagine 4D, a Montreal-based technology company focused on delivering the most impactful and realistic virtual simulation experience possible.

Station IX, launched in 2018, is an immersive 3D display environment designed to offer the most realistic and collaborative experience available today. Step inside and view large 3D datasets at a glance without the need for headwear of any kind. We can immerse multiple industries in Station IX – from simulation in the defense industry to training large groups to visualization applications in the construction and architectural industry.

Fernando Petruzziello
Co-Founder and CEO of Imagine 4D

Fernando Petruzziello is the co-founder and CEO of Imagine 4D, a Montreal-based technology company founded in 2015 that focuses on delivering the most impactful and realistic virtual simulation experience possible. Station IX, its flagship product, was launched in 2018. Before founding Imagine 4D, Fernando was CEO and co-founder of Mechtronix Inc., a manufacturer of full-flight simulators and provider of pilot training services. In 2013, Textron Inc (NYSE: TXT) acquired Mechtronix. Fernando was named the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2006. Prior to founding Mechtronix, Fernando was an electrical design engineering researcher at the Concordia University Fluid Power and Control Research Laboratory, which produced the first flight simulator using microprocessor technology.

Christian Bassila
Co-Founder and President of Imagine 4D

Christian Bassila is the co-founder and President of Imagine 4D. Christian has extensive experience working with innovative technology companies having played financial, board of director and managerial roles with multiple early stage and high growth companies over the last 15 years. Before co-founding Imagine 4D, he was a vice-president at Richardson Capital, a Canadian private equity firm, and worked in Morgan Stanley’s technology investment banking division in New York City. Christian earned a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. In addition, he received an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Jason Bingo
EVP - Sales & Business Development

Jason Bingo manages revenue generation and business development / alliances for Imagine 4D. He has 18 years of tech industry experience (including 15 years at Dell Inc.) and spent 5 years as a combat officer in the US Army. Jason holds an MBA in Finance from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and a BS from the US Military Academy at West Point.

Jason Radel, PH.D.
Director of Research

Jason Radel is the Director of Research for Imagine 4D. Jason has more than ten years of experience developing new display technologies, ranging from cholesteric liquid crystal displays to three-dimensional holographic displays. Jason leads the design, development, and implementation of Imagine 4D’s display technologies, including its immersive display system, Station IX. Jason also heads creation and protection of Imagine 4D’s intellectual property. Jason has multiple publications in optics, and currently holds three patents in display technologies, with many additional patents pending. Jason earned a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Physics from the University of British Columbia, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.

Alexandre Baker
Technical Director

Alexandre Baker is the Technical Director for Imagine 4D. Alexandre has more ten years in software development and IT Operations. With his background in computer science, Alexandre is an excellent technical reference for some of Imagine 4D’s highest priority projects, such as Station IX. Before joining Imagine 4D, Alexandre worked as the technical lead and main developer for various projects and companies mainly in Web, Cloud, 3D Graphics and Client-Server applications. Alexandre earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Université Laval in Quebec City, QC.
